Fujitsu Laptops are not cheap. These laptops are competing with other big brands in the mid-range and upper mid-range segments.
The cheapest Fujitsu laptop is priced at around Rs 55000, which is surely not cheap.
Fujitsu laptops have compelling specifications, but is it a good idea to spend on a brand that is not well-established yet?
Are Fujitsu laptops good, reliable, and worth buying in India? Let’s find it out.
About Fujitsu
Fujitsu was established in 1935 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Currently, it’s the 10th largest IT service provider in the world and the number one IT service provider in Japan.
The company makes various software and provides cloud based services like Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Fujitsu also specializes in electronics. Their products include servers, PCs, laptops, media centers, tablets, storage hardware, displays, air conditioning, and more.
The brand has recently entered the Indian market and launched some laptops, which is what we are going to talk about here.

Are Fujitsu laptops good?
Do you know what’s the main selling point of Fujitsu laptops?
It’s the hardware. Fujitsu makes one of the lightest and most portable laptops in the world.
They have launched only a few laptops in India, but all are lightweight and portable. The build quality is also sturdy on these laptops.
Fujitsu laptops come with very good displays, powerful processors, and larger RAM. Their battery life is also impressive.
Does it mean Fujitsu laptops are good? Well, this is where most users are confused.
We all know that Fujitsu laptops have competent hardware. But how is the actual experience?
To be honest, you will have a satisfying experience with Fujitsu laptops. We aren’t calling it the best, but it is surely on par with other big brands like HP, Dell, Asus, etc.
What we have noticed is that Fujitsu laptops are more about quality. They are not a so-called laptop brand.
For example, when AVITA laptops launched in India, they shook up the laptop market by offering excellent specifications at a competing price. But now, within a few years, the brand is disappearing from the Indian market.
We don’t know whether Fujitsu will follow suit, but as of now, Fujitsu is looking safer.
Now coming to the main question, are Fujitsu laptops good?
Yes, Fujitsu laptops are mostly good, and the experience you will have is similar to other laptops from reputed brands.
However, if you get the same specifications on a similarly priced laptop from a reputed brand like HP, Dell, Samsung, or LG, then we would suggest you go with those reputed brands.
Why? Because Fujitsu is still a new laptop brand in India, and hence, the after-sales service is going to be an issue for sure.
You can consider their cheaper laptops, but you should choose wisely if you are going for the expensive options.
Are Fujitsu laptops reliable?
It hasn’t been a long time since Fujitsu launched laptops in India. So we can’t make a judgment right away.
But as far as we have seen till now, yes, Fujitsu laptops are mostly reliable.
To compete with other big brands, Fujitsu has to maintain a quality standard, and they are doing it. Their laptops have a premium look and feel.
We aren’t saying they have the best build because you might notice some flex around the keyboard on these laptops.
But that doesn’t mean these laptops have used cheap materials. To keep the weight as light as possible, the company has used thin metal sheets, which results in flex around the keyboard. However, the quality of it is solid, so you shouldn’t be worried about that.
Overall, the Fujitsu laptops seem reliable, at least for now, but only time will tell the whole story.

How is the after-sales service?
Fujitsu service centers are available in limited locations. There are 18 to 20 service centers in major cities like Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Gandhipuram (TN), South Tangerang City.
If you live in or nearby these cities, then you will have good after-sales service experience. Otherwise, you have to send the laptop to the asked address to get your laptop repaired.
Also, you might have to wait a few days because every new brand makes excuses for the unavailability of parts.
Overall, the after-sales service is decent. But, it’s nowhere near to other big brands, at least for now.

Also, you won’t be compromising on build, display, performance, and battery.

Fujitsu has launched business laptops only. So if you are a gamer or professional video editor, then you should not buy Fujitsu laptops.
Also, if you can’t trust a new brand, you can skip these laptops.

Is Fujitsu a Lenovo brand?
We don’t have internal data of the company, but Lenovo owns a majority stake at 51%, while Fujitsu retains 44% (Source).
But that doesn’t mean you can take your Fujitsu laptop to the Lenovo service center for repair. They might do it in the future, but not as of now.
Final Verdict
We appreciate the efforts Fujitsu is making for delivering good laptops in India.
We just wish they don’t follow AVITA.
You can buy Fujitsu laptops, but let the brand establish itself properly.
If you are looking for any features that are exclusively available on Fujitsu laptops, then sure, you can buy Fujitsu laptops.
But if the same features are available on other laptops from a well-established brand at a similar price, then you should consider branded laptops first.

I bought a Fujitsu laptop second hand on ebay for only £90. Having used Dell for years, the first thing I noticed was how light it was, but it doesn’t have any lower spec for the weight. That was the first pleasant surprise. The keyboard layout is good. Trackpad can easily be turned on and off with a function key. It has unique buttons for eco battery mode and airplane mode though I’ve never needed these. Even second hand, the battery lasts for 4 hours with moderate use. With Windows 11 it boots up from cold in seconds, and from sleep instantly, as you’d expect. The speakers are very minimal but it has a 3.5mm audio jack and separate microphone jack. Has a build in SD card port for transferring files etc. A very nice, competent device, ideal for work, but the one I have is not a gaming laptop. You get what you pay for. I wasn’t able to find a bluetooth driver anywhere so can’t use my earpods, so bought a nice pair or wired headphones that do the job perfectly. I can’t believe I got such a good laptop for only £90! Feel so lucky to have it.
