Are HP Laptops Good

Laptops are not something that we change every year. Once we buy a laptop, we keep using it for years. And that’s why the durability and reliability of a laptop matter the most.

HP laptops are considered to be reliable, and many users have said the same.

But is it true? Are HP laptops good and reliable?

We have been using HP laptops for years, and here is our honest opinion.

Are HP Laptops Good and Reliable?

We have used multiple HP laptops, and the oldest HP laptop in our office is the HP 250 Notebook, which we bought eight years ago in 2014.

Here is what this laptop has:

  • Intel Core i3-3110M CPU
  • 4GB RAM (We upgraded it to 8GB)
  • 15.6-inch HD display
  • 512GB HDD
  • Windows 7

These are eight years old specifications, and you can imagine how these will perform today.

Surprisingly, this HP laptop is still working fine without any problem.

We faced some issues after six years of buying this laptop, like battery degradation and hanging problem, but that’s common.

We just upgraded the RAM from 4GB to 8GB and re-installed Windows 7, and everything started working smoothly.

It’s not only one HP laptop, but we have used several others that are 4 to 5 years older now, and all of those are working just fine without any issue.

Coming to the reliability, HP laptops offer consistent performance.

As HP is a big brand, they use quality components and integrate them with software properly.

But keep in mind that these are electronic components, and they can get defective. It happens with every brand.

Coming to the HP 250, that we bought in 2014, we use this old laptop for office use, and it works smoothly. When we push it hard and do some video editing, then it struggles a lot, which is expected from an eight years old hardware.

So overall, what we have experienced is that HP laptops are good and reliable. If you are planning to buy a laptop that can last for years, then HP laptops are safe to invest.

Are HP Laptops Durable?

Are HP Laptops Good and Durable

The durability of a laptop depends on the quality of the material being used.

Many users had complained that HP laptops which cost around Rs 50000, come with a plastic build.

We admit that, too, but the plastic build never bothered us much.

Why? Because the company uses very good plastic to build their laptops.

The HP 250, an eight years old laptop, is entirely made of plastic, and till now, there isn’t even a single dent.

The laptops aren’t meant to throw like smartphones, but still, we traveled a lot with these laptops and saw no sign of damage.

A particular series of HP laptops may have inferior build quality, but overall, these laptops are built to last long.

If you also handle your laptop with care, then don’t worry. HP laptops are durable enough to last for years.
