User Experience:

The original Realme Buds Q was a decent pair of TWS that used to sound good. But some flaws were evident, like unresponsive touch controls.

This time around, Realme has taken care of the flaws and corrected them.

The newer Realme Buds Q2 is an improved version that has some surprising features for the price.

First is the design. Realme Buds Q2 has a traditional design like other TWS, but somehow, Realme has given it a different look.

Both the black and grey variant looks eye-pleasing

The same continues with the build quality. The earbuds, along with the carrying case, are made of hard plastic. Both feel premium in hand.

These TWS come with the latest Bluetooth 5.2, which is better than the older BT 5.1. There is no issue with audio, and the connection remains stable all the time.

One major reason why many people are interested in these TWS is the Active Noise Cancellation (up to 25dB). It means there is less noise, resulting in a better audio experience.

But in reality, you simply can’t get a good quality ANC in budget earbuds. Yes, the ANC on Realme Buds Q2 works, but the difference isn’t substantial. It makes a difference of around 20%.

Thanks to the 10mm driver, the audio quality on these TWS is great, considering the price.

It’s not crystal clear, but it’s definitely enjoyable. The bass is heavy and doesn’t muffle vocals. Mids and highs are well-tuned also.

Taking price into the part, the sound quality is better than the competition.

What’s not better is the call quality. Despite having two mics on a single earbud (four mics in total), the call quality is average

The person on the other end can clearly hear the surrounding noise, especially if you are outdoors. The indoor calls are good and serviceable.

These TWS are a perfect choice for gamers. Because of the 88mm Super Low Latency gaming mode, and Dual Channel Transmission, there is no delay in audio and video during movies and gaming.

The battery life is pretty good. These earbuds can easily last for 5-6 hours on a single charge. With the charging case, you can get up to 25 hours of music playback.

These earbuds support fast charging through a Type-C port. Ten minutes of charging can give three hours of music playback.

If you want a feature-packed TWS that sound great and looks stylish, then Realme Buds Q2 is by far the best TWS under 2500.

Pros and Cons

  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • Enjoyable sound quality
  • Heavy bass and clear vocals
  • Good battery life
  • IPX5 water and sweat resistance
  • IWP Technology
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • Good for gaming
  • Feature-rich TWS
  • Excellent value for money
  • ANC doesn’t make a huge difference
  • Average call quality

User Experience:

Boult Audio Omega is the latest addition from the company to the TWS lineup.

On paper, the Boult Audio Omega seems to be a complete package. It has all the features you can imagine at this price.

Be it ANC, ENC, Gaming mode, or a bigger battery. Every feature is present on this TWS.

But do these features really work as advertised?

After giving this TWS a try, we have found that it’s a solid option under 2500.

Starting with the build quality, the Boult Omega is entirely made of plastic, like any other TWS of this segment.

But the plastic they have used here is solid. Both the charging case and earbuds are well built and don’t feel cheap from any angle.

Using the earbuds for multiple hours was never an issue, thanks to its comfortable design.

As many people prefer stem-style TWS, the Boult Omega turns out to be an easy recommendation for them.

Because of the stem-style design, the earbuds fit perfectly in the ears and don’t fall no matter how hard you shake your head.

After listening to music on the Boult Omega, we have realized that its sound quality is pretty good.

It will not blow your mind, but it’s great and enjoyable.

As the earbuds come with three EQ modes, you can switch between them according to your needs.

  • Hi-Fi Mode: This mode is perfect among all modes. It has deep and heavy bass. The vocals are clear, and the treble is punchy. You can listen to every instrument as the instrument separation is good too.
  • Bass Boost Mode: In this mode, the bass is boosted by a little margin. It’s not overdone but increased up to a digestive level. The overall sound remains clear and enjoyable with slightly boosted bass. It’s perfect for those who prefer heavy bass.
  • Rock Mode: This mode enhances the loudness and tries to create a surround sound effect. It gets pretty loud but ends up disturbing vocals and treble.

So overall, we are pretty satisfied with the sound quality, and we enjoyed the Hi-Fi mode more than other modes.

Note that the ANC doesn’t make a significant difference. You will notice it when you turn it on, but it won’t block all the noise.

So the ANC is average, just like all the TWS at this price.

Another average thing is the call quality. It’s good indoors, but not so good outdoors.

Despite having ENC, it still picks outer noise, especially in a noisy environment.

Yes, it tries its best to cut noise but compresses the voice clarity.

If you are a gamer, then this TWS won’t disappoint you. The gaming mode reduces the latency and makes the gaming experience more enjoyable.

The battery life is good too. At 90% volume with ANC on, it easily lasts for 5 hours. Turning off ANC increases the battery life further. But note that charging the earbuds takes longer than expected.

You can use the earbuds in the rain as they are IPX5 rated.

So overall, the Boult Audio Omega is a worthy TWS under 2500 that comes with a good set of features. Yes, it doesn’t have that impressive ANC, but still, the overall sound output is enjoyable.

Pros and Cons

  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • Enjoyable sound quality
  • Three EQ Modes
  • Deep bass and clear vocals
  • Great battery life
  • IPX5 water and sweat resistance
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • Great for gaming
  • Feature-rich TWS
  • ANC doesn’t make a significant difference
  • Average call quality
  • Charging time is on the higher side

User Experience:

We know that OnePlus Nord Buds costs Rs 2799, which is Rs 300 more.

But we highly suggest you extend your budget by Rs 300 and get the Nord buds.

Why? Because for that extra 300 Rupees, you are going to get a premium sound quality.

On the Nord Buds, OnePlus has emphasized the sound quality over any features like ANC.

The 12.4mm Titanium driver is the largest in this segment and does an amazing job of delivering impressive sound quality.

OnePlus has tuned every frequency precisely on this TWS.

The main highlight of this earbud is the bass. It’s clear, deep, and has a punch to it.

Even at high volume, the bass remains similarly punchy and doesn’t distort.

The same goes for other frequencies, like vocals and treble. Both of these remain pleasing no matter what volume you are listening to music at.

We genuinely enjoy the sound on Nord Buds, and it’s the best TWS earbuds on this list for pure sound quality.

Realme Buds 2 also delivers enjoyable sound, but the sound from Nord Buds is louder and fuller.

But here comes the biggest con of Nord Buds, which is the lack of ANC.

At this price, OnePlus should have given some sort of noise cancellation to make this TWS a more appealing option.

What they have also skimped is the gaming mode. If you are a heavy gamer, then don’t buy the Nord Buds, as there is around one second of latency.

On a positive note, OnePlus has taken care of other aspects. For instance:

  • The build quality is one of the best under 3000. The Nord Buds feel premium.
  • The earbuds fit perfectly in the ears. Using them for multiple hours won’t be a problem.
  • Nord Buds don’t disappoint in the battery department. The buds can last 6.5 hours on a single charge and 26 hours combined.
  • The earbuds support fast charging. 10 minutes of charging can give 4-4.5 hours of music playback.
  • The IP55 rating is better than IPX5.
  • We have found that the call quality on Nord Buds is better and clear than the Realme Buds Q2. It’s not phenomenal, but still, it’s better.

Overall, the Nord buds are an excellent pair of TWS that delivers impressive audio quality. It would have been a complete package if they had included ANC.

Pros and Cons

  • Premium build quality
  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • Impressive sound quality
  • Heavy bass and clear vocals
  • Bass doesn’t muffle vocals and treble
  • Great battery life
  • IPX55 water and dust resistance
  • No connectivity issue
  • A value for money TWS
  • No ANC
  • Not for gaming
