The Realme Buds T300 is the successor to the immensely popular Realme Buds T100, which is still considered one of the best TWS earbuds under 1500.

Given the high expectations from the Realme T300, does it live up to them?

Starting with the build, the Realme T300 features a sturdy plastic construction that feels solid and well-built. While the build quality is good, it falls short of premium quality.

The matte finish adds a touch of elegance to both the case and earbuds, enhancing their overall aesthetic appeal.

The earbuds boast an ergonomic design with a 45° tilt, ensuring a perfect fit in your ears, even during extended usage.

If you plan on using these earbuds for extended periods, you won’t encounter any comfort issues.

The Realme T300 stands out as one of the most feature-packed TWS earbuds under 2500, with its standout feature being ANC.

How effective is the ANC, you may wonder?

Considering its price point, it ranks among the best in its class.

However, it’s important to note that it will not match the performance of premium earbuds, but it certainly delivers good results for the price.

Indoors, it effectively blocks around 85% of ambient noise, significantly enhancing the music-listening experience.

In noisy environments, it manages to reduce approximately 70% of background noise, which is good.

Overall, the ANC performance is quite commendable.

Now, let’s talk about sound quality.

For those who appreciate deep and punchy bass, these TWS earbuds are a great option. The bass feels immersive and boasts ample depth.

When listening to bass-heavy tracks, you’ll experience a satisfying thump that elevates the overall bass enjoyment.

But what about vocals and trebles?

The vocals are clear, and the trebles come across as crisp. Sound separation is excellent, allowing you to hear all instruments playing in the background.

However, it’s worth noting that the sound quality won’t match some of the IEMs in this price range.

The Realme Link app allows you to switch between various sound modes, including Vocals, Balanced, Clear Bass, and Boosted Bass.

We have found that Balanced and Clear Bass modes offer the best audio experience.

Additionally, enabling 360° audio enhances the immersion by creating a sense of sound coming from all directions, enriching the music experience.

Keep in mind that sound leakage becomes noticeable when listening at volumes of 80% or higher.

Overall, the sound quality is commendable and shares similarities with the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r, another impressive TWS option.

Another area where these TWS earbuds shine is battery life.

With ANC active, you can enjoy up to 5.5 hours of usage, while without ANC, you get up to 6.5 hours. With the case, the total real-life battery life ranges between 30 to 35 hours.

Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the low latency of just 50ms, delivering a seamless gaming experience. These numbers aren’t mere marketing claims, as the actual latency is indeed close to 50ms.

To know more about these earbuds in detail, we advise you to check the Realme Buds T300 review.

Verdict: The Realme Buds T300 is an excellent choice for TWS earbuds, offering rich and detailed sound quality with powerful bass. The inclusion of ANC and other impressive features makes it a compelling purchase.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 2r is the lighter variant of the impressive OnePlus Nord Buds 2.

Being a lighter version, some corners have been cut to maintain a lower price point. However, even with these omitted features, the Nord Buds 2r still offers a commendable performance.

Priced at around Rs 2200, the Nord Buds 2r stands as an excellent option that we recommend without any hesitation.

Why? Because it delivers a satisfying experience that many earbuds in this segment lack.

OnePlus has prioritized sound quality over features like ANC, ENC, or gaming mode with the Nord Buds 2r.

The 12.4mm driver, one of the largest in this category, excels at delivering impressive sound quality.

Every frequency has been precisely tuned, with a particular highlight on the bass, which is clear, deep, and punchy.

Even at high volumes, the bass retains its punchiness without distortion.

When listening to bass-heavy tracks, you’ll be delighted by the deep and rich bass. This quality extends to other frequencies, such as vocals and treble, which remain pleasing regardless of the volume.

The sound quality on the Nord Buds 2r is genuinely enjoyable, especially for those seeking a bass-heavy audio experience.

When using the AAC codec, the audio becomes even clearer and crisper.

The design of the Nord Buds 2r is also comfortable. We prefer the rounded design of Nord Buds 2r over the sharp-edged Nord Buds 2.

The buds feel premium with their matte finish and solid build quality.

While the Buds 2r lacks ANC, it’s a reasonable compromise considering the price.

Fortunately, OnePlus has not compromised on gaming mode, with lower latency that would serve gamers well for casual to moderate gaming sessions.

However, note that these earbuds are not for high-end gaming.

In addition, the earbuds offer a comfortable fit for extended use, and you won’t feel any earache.

The battery life is impressive, lasting 6.5 hours on a single charge and 30 hours with the case.

Fast charging is also supported, with just 10 minutes of charging providing 4-4.5 hours of music playback.

The IP55 rating ensures that the earbuds can handle light rain and accidental splashes.

Call quality on the Nord Buds 2r is clearer and better, although not exceptional.

Verdict: The Nord Buds 2r is an excellent pair of TWS earbuds that deliver impressive audio quality, especially the bass. If your budget is around Rs 2200, you don’t need to look elsewhere.

Pros and Cons

  • Premium build quality
  • Lightweight and comfortable design

  • Heavy bass and clear vocals
  • Bass doesn’t muffle vocals and treble

Main Highlights

⦿ Stem Style In Ear TWS
⦿ Bluetooth V5.0 with 10 meter range
⦿ 8 mm driver
⦿ 2 mic
⦿ 548mAH in charging case
⦿ 5 hours of battery life, 20 hours with the case
⦿ IPX2 Rating

If we look at the overall rating of JBL Wave 200, it’s above average. Despite being made from a premium brand, the Wave 200 failed to impress the masses in India.

But why? That’s the main question.

Well, the primary reasons are false advertisements and unmet expectations.

JBL claims that these earbuds have a deep bass sound. As a general user, we expect the same from JBL because this brand is well-known for delivering premium bass sound.

However, the reality is entirely different.

When using the JBL Wave 200, we found the bass set to the minimum. In vocal songs, there was no bass.

When we switched to bass-heavy songs, we started noticing the bass, but it was not deep. It was slightly boomy and was not that pleasing.

Now, you might wonder why we include the JBL Wave 200 on this list.

Well, there are a lot of users who prefer balanced sound quality, as they don’t like bass.

For those users, the JBL Wave 200 is an excellent option.

With less bass, it has more room to emphasize the vocals and trebles, and the earbuds deliver crisp and clear vocals and trebles.

You can easily listen to the hidden details in the songs and will appreciate the instrumental separation, too.

The overall sound remains distortion-free, even at high volume.

So, it’s clear that the JBL Wave 200 is for those who don’t like the bass and prefer a balanced sound output.

Moving to the other departments, the carrying case and the earbuds have solid build quality.

The earbuds feel premium but are slightly heavy at around 8 grams. Most earbuds in this segment weigh around 5 grams.

The comfort is good, as the earbuds fit perfectly in the earbuds.

Listening to music for multiple hours should not be a problem for most users.

The battery life is decent on the earbuds, as they last only 4 hours at 75% volume. With the case, you can achieve 14 hours of battery life at the same volume level.

It means you can charge the earbuds three times using the case.

The call quality is average, as the earbuds miss a proper noise cancellation. The person on the other end can hear the surround noise easily. The indoor call quality is decent, however.

Verdict: The JBL Wave 200 has some compromises, but for those who only need good sound quality without any funky features and brand reliability, these earbuds are great options to consider.

Pros and Cons

  • Solid build quality
  • Comfortable design
  • Clear vocals and trebles
  • Balanced sound output
  • Sufficient loudness
  • Decent battery life
  • No connection problem
  • Not for bass lovers
  • Average call quality
  • No ANC or ENC
  • Only IPX2 rating

  • Good sound quality with heavy and clear bass.
  • Customizable EQ settings to get the right music experience.
  • IWP technology and dual pairing mode.

Realme Buds Air 3S is more focused on bass. But, despite having a bass-heavy sound, this TWS manages to take care of vocals and treble. Both of which don’t feel muffled.

The overall sound output is clear and loud. You can further increase the loudness using the app. These TWS are Dolby Atmos supported, but your phone should also support the same to work.

Although the Realme Link app is not mandatory, you can still use it to get the best out of Air 3S. The app allows you to customize sound profiles, change touch controls, turn On/Off dual pairing mode, and much more.

There is no ANC on this TWS, but still, it’s the most feature-packed TWS under 2500.

The design of the Realme Buds Air 3S is unique. It sits right in the middle of a regular and stem-style TWS. The buds have a comfortable design, and using them for long sessions won’t hurt your ears.

At 70% volume, you can get around 6 hours of battery life, which is not that bad. Using the case, you can charge the TWS 3-4 times.

The call quality is above average. It’s good and clear indoors, but noisy outdoors. The buds try to eliminate noise but also compress the sound clarity.

Although the company claims 69ms low latency in gaming, you should not use it for heavy gaming as the latency is more noticeable.

Verdict: For the price, the Realme Buds Air 3S delivers what it is expected to deliver. It sounds good with a bass signature and has all the features.

Moving on to the audio experience, the Anker Soundcore R50i delivers rich and powerful sound output. Despite featuring a 10mm driver, the earbuds produce clear vocals without artificial enhancements, maintaining originality.

The trebles are crisp and remain comfortable even at higher volumes.

Overall, the sound profile is crisp and clear, accompanied by a slightly boosted bass presence.

A notable feature is the access to 22 EQ modes via the Soundcore Connect app, allowing you to customize the audio to your liking.

Customized controls further enhance the user experience, enabling you to modify the touch controls on the earbuds according to your specific needs.

The battery life is impressive, particularly for the earbuds themselves. The company claims a battery life of 10 hours, but real-world usage typically yields around 6.5 hours, which is notably superior to many other TWS options.

When considering the additional charging case, the combined battery life extends to approximately 25 hours.

Like most other TWS earbuds, call quality is satisfactory indoors but may falter in noisy outdoor environments.

These earbuds aren’t designed for intense gaming sessions. However, they perform well for casual gaming.

Verdict: The Anker Soundcore R50i is a well-rounded TWS earbud package. Its impressive build quality, thoughtful design, and clear, well-balanced sound firmly position it as one of the best TWS earbuds under 2000 rupees.
