How does AirPods Pro 2 sound?
The primary reason to get such expensive earbuds is the sound quality, and we are happy to say that AirPods Pro 2 sounds really good.
There are two types of music lovers.
- One who prefers deep and heavy bass.
- The others, who like rich bass but also want treble and vocals to be on point.
The Apple AirPods Pro 2 is not for the first category of music lovers.
Yes, it has rich and decently deep bass, but the extra depth that makes any earbud bass-heavy is slightly missing.
So if you are a very heavy bass lover, then you might not like the AirPods Pro 2 very much.
The treble and vocals are vibrating and clear, respectively.
At higher volumes, you will notice that the treble gets sharp but not to an excessive level where it starts hurting the ears. It remains crisp and enjoyable.
The same goes with vocals, as they remain clear and don’t distort at full volume.
Overall, the sound quality is well-balanced and tuned in a way that you can listen to every frequency, beat, and instrument.
Spatial Audio and Head Tracking make a difference in how you listen to music. These features are good for a different music-listening experience.
The AirPods Pro 2 gets pretty loud, and most users will be happy with the loudness.
However, if you are used to extremely loud sound, then you might find the Pro 2 lacking the loudness.
Verdict: The overall sound quality of the AirPods Pro 2 is impressive. It’s not perfect for every user, but most will be happy with the output.

Does sound quality justify the price tag?
The current price of AirPods Pro 2 is around Rs 25000, and frankly speaking, it’s a lot of money to spend on a TWS earbud.
If we particularly talk about the sound quality, then, unfortunately, it isn’t worth Rs 25000.
Don’t get it wrong. The sound quality is impressive, but Rs 25000 is too much for that.
However, note that the AirPods Pro 2 isn’t all about sound. Along with the sound, it’s about functionality, features, and convenience.
Even after considering everything, we still think that AirPods Pro 2 is overpriced like every other Apple product.
Is AirPods Pro 2 worth it?
If you own an iPhone, then we can say that the AirPods Pro 2 is worth it. You get all the features and functionalities that enhance the user experience significantly.
Also, the sound quality is great on these earbuds.
Still, we advise you to think twice before buying such an expensive earbud.
If you don’t have a budget problem, you can buy the AirPods Pro 2 without thinking twice.
If you have a budget problem, then we don’t advise you to get the AirPods Pro 2. You can look for some inexpensive alternatives, in that case.
Can AirPods Pro 2 pair with Android?
We noticed a few things when we paired the AirPods Pro 2 with an Android smartphone.
- The Airpods get connected to Android phones without any problem.
- You can play music seamlessly, and the sound quality remains 90% the same as on iPhone.
- The AirPods can switch between ANC and transparency mode easily.
So we can say that you can connect the AirPods Pro 2 with Android smartphones.
However, some features won’t work with Android. For instance:
- Spatial Audio and Head Tracking won’t work.
- You can’t change the volume.
- Music play/pause, next/back won’t work.
- You can’t access Google assistance.
- You won’t get any app support.
- Accepting calls using the AirPods might not be possible.
All this means is you can use the AirPods Pro 2 with Android, but you have to compromise with a lot of features.
These are useful features, and compromising on them after paying a lot, is not worth it.

How is the ANC on AirPods Pro 2?
Before turning ON the ANC, make sure to install the right size ear tips. If there is any leakage in sound, you won’t get the best ANC effect.
If you use the right size ear tips, and there is a proper seal with no sound getting in, then the ANC you will get is just amazing.
We have noticed that the ANC is so aggressive that it can block around 95 to 98% of outer noise.
It means you will hear nothing from outside when you enter the ANC mode.
So, the ANC on the AirPods Pro 2 is just amazing. It’s not industry-leading, but in the top 3 for sure.

How’s the battery life and call quality?
Here is what we got on AirPods Pro 2 in terms of battery.
- 5.5 hours of music playback at 80% volume with ANC ON.
- Close to 6 hours of music playback with ANC OFF.
- 5 hours with Spatial Audio and Head Tracking ON.
- 4 hours of talk time.
- 24 hours of music playback with the charging case.
- 19 hours of talk time with the case.
Depending on the audio level and usage, your experience may vary. But this is what we got on the AirPods Pro 2.
If you ask us, the battery life is good, if not the best.
The call quality on Apple AirPods Pro 2 is impressive. While on call, the other person can clearly hear your voice, no matter if you are in a noisy environment.
If you are looking for TWS earbuds primarily for calling, you can surely consider the AirPods Pro 2.

Are AirPods Pro 2 waterproof?
The AirPods Pro 2 comes with an IPX4 rating, making them sweat and water-resistant.
Note that the Pro 2 is not waterproof. It can handle sweat, accidental splashes, and light rain. That’s it.
You should not dip them into the water, go swimming, or take a shower with them. They might get damaged if you do so.
It’s sad that such a high-end earbud doesn’t have a proper IP rating.

Are AirPods Pro 2 good for running?
The AirPods Pro 2 are designed in a way that they fit perfectly in the ears, no matter how small or big your ears are.
But again, we advise you to use the right size ear tips, which will give more grip to the earbuds.
If you do so, the earbuds won’t fall off the ears no matter how fast you run.
So, the AirPods Pro 2 is good for running for sure.

Are AirPods Pro 2 good for gaming?
The AirPods Pro 2 was never made for gaming. Their topmost priority was audio quality and features.
On paper, the AirPods Pro 2 has 126 ms latency, which is significantly higher for games.
When we played some games on the iPhone, we found that the games were playable. However, in shooting games, we noticed latency.
So all this means is, if you play occasional games, you won’t have any problem. But if you are a heavy gamer and spend most of your time playing games, then the AirPods Pro 2 is not for you.
Are AirPods Pro 2 better than 3?
The AirPods 3 are not an upgrade of AirPods Pro 2. The AirPods Pro 3 will be the successor of the AirPods Pro 2, but we have no words about the launch of it.
Coming to the AirPods 3, it has an open-ear design, which means it doesn’t have silicon tips.
The silicon tips make a huge difference in sealing the sound inside, which results in no sound leakage.
When the sound is fully sealed, you get impressive bass effects, clear vocals, and soothing treble. The ANC will also work perfectly in this condition.
Because the AirPods 3 doesn’t have silicon tips, there is some sound leakage. Also, you won’t get the proper bass effect.
So after considering everything, we don’t think the AirPods 3 is better than the AirPods Pro 2. The AirPods Pro 2 is still better.
