Build Quality

Realme Buds T100 Build

Realme is known for offering a good build quality on their products, and we were expecting the same from this TWS.

Fortunately, the Realme Buds T100 didn’t disappoint.

The case is made of plastic and has a matt finish on it. Thanks to which, it doesn’t attract any fingerprints.

The cap of the case isn’t loose and has a good grip.

The earbuds inside the case have good magnetic hold and don’t fall if you put the case upside down.

It’s great to see that the earbuds also have a solid build quality. These aren’t the most premium, but for the price, you won’t have any complaints.

The plastic used on the earbuds is solid and doesn’t feel cheap from any angle.

Overall, the build quality is more than satisfactory for the asking price, and you won’t have any problem with it.

Build Quality Rating: 4.2

Design and Comfort

Realme Buds T100 Design and comfort

The carrying case is so small that you can carry it in your jeans pocket without even realizing it’s there.

The earbuds are designed to fit perfectly in the ears.

Because of the stem-style design, the earbuds sit perfectly in the ears without causing pain while listening to music for hours.

Most people prefer stem-style designs for more comfort, and Realme Buds T100 does offer the same.

During longer music sessions, you won’t notice any earache as the earbuds are tilted at a 45-degree angle, resulting in a great fit and comfort. The weight also adds to the comfort as the per earbud weighs around 5 grams.

The Realme Buds T100 fits perfectly for both big and small size ears. You can consider it for every kind of ear size. It won’t cause any discomfort.

Design and Comfort Rating: 4.2

Battery Life

Along with good stable connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3 also consumes less power.

The company claims a battery life of 6 hours on earbuds and 28 hours with the case.

Well, in real life, you will get around:

  • 5 hours of music playback at 80% volume.
  • 5.5 hours of music playback at 60% volume.
  • 6 hours of music playback under 50% volume.

The carrying case has a 400mAh battery, and you can charge earbuds 3 to 4 times using the case.

The earbuds support fast charging, and 10 minutes of charge can give 2 hours of music playback.

Charging the earbuds takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the carrying case takes close to 2 hours to fully charge, depending on the type of charger you use.

If you listen to music for 4 hours a day, then these TWS can last for four to five days on a single charge with the case.

The overall battery life is good, if not the best. Once fully charged (with case), you can use the earbuds for 3-5 days, which is great.

Battery Life Rating: 4.0

Call Quality

Realme Buds T100 Call Quality

The Realme Buds T100 comes with AI ENC tech to enhance the voice quality during phone calls.

Don’t fall for the fancy name because it’s just an ENC that reduces the outer noise while on call.

Now, how much of a difference does AI ENC make?

We have found that the call clarity is very good, especially indoors when there is no noise.

The AI ENC kicks in when it detects the noise, which is a norm in outdoor conditions.

The ENC tries its best to reduce noise by compressing it to the extreme level, resulting in a noise-free calling experience.

But still, the person on the receiving end can hear the noise, and your voice will also feel compressed a little.

The receiver can hear you properly, but sometimes your voice won’t be that audible.

We haven’t faced any major issues while on call, but remember, in a noisy environment, your voice will be compressed and won’t be that clear.

Call Quality Rating: 3.9

Sound and Bass Quality

The obvious reason to buy any audio product is the sound quality.

Most Realme audio products are focused on bass, as most Indian users prefer bass.

But the Realme Buds T100 is good for bass as well as treble or vocal lovers. It has three EQ modes that change the sound accordingly.

  • Balanced Mode

It is the default mode, and we advise you to stick to this mode. The sound quality is simply great in this mode. The bass is punchy, and the treble and vocals are clear.

The sound doesn’t distort at full volume in this mode. All the frequencies come up nicely, making the music experience more enjoyable.

  • Bass Boost Mode

When switching to Bass Boosted mode from Balanced mode, you will notice a slight boost in bass. It doesn’t make a night and day difference, but you will notice it for sure.

Note that in this mode, the bass doesn’t go deeper, but it becomes a little overpowered. The vocals and treble get reduced to make the bass more pronounced.

  • Bright Mode

This mode is suitable for movies, as it pumps up the treble and vocals significantly. The bass gets reduced to the minimum, and you will not feel it much.

If you don’t want bass, then this mode is ideal for you.

Note that the moment you put on the earbuds, they will block the noise to some extent, but there is no ANC here.

Overall, the sound quality is great for the price. The Balanced Mode is the most preferred one as it produces the most enjoyable sound.

Sound and Bass Rating: 4.2

Gaming Test

The company claims 88 ms of latency when entering into the gaming mode.

While using the Realme Buds T100, we noticed that the latency is not 88 ms but higher.

While playing shooter games, we noticed a slight delay in sound. This delay was not significant but was noticeable.

While in racing games, there was not much of an issue.

It seems like the latency isn’t 88 ms, but it’s around 110 or 120 ms.

If you are a very heavy gamer, then you will notice some latency for sure. It would be better to go for expensive TWS in that case. But if you play games casually, you won’t have any problems.

Gaming Test Rating: 3.8
