The boAt Nirvana Ion has gained significant popularity since its launch. But what makes this TWS so unique that it’s capturing people’s attention?

There are two standout features of the boAt Nirvana Ion:

  1. Sound Quality
  2. Battery Life

Starting with sound quality, it seems like boAt has made a noticeable effort into its enhancement.

Typically, boAt earbuds emphasize heavy bass to meet the demands of the masses. However, this time, boAt has taken a different approach.

The earbuds come with Crystal Bionic Sound, an audio optimization solution that provides richer sound and finer bass.

It means the boAt Nirvana Ion prioritizes sound clarity over heavy bass.

When listening in balanced mode, the vocals remain clear, and the treble remains crisp.

The sound clarity is notably improved, and Crystal Bionic Sound seems to make a significant difference in sound quality.

You can distinctly listen to sound separation and notice hidden details in the music.

When listening in boAt Signature Sound mode, everything remains the same, but the bass gets noticeably boosted.

In this mode, you will experience deeper and richer bass.

Regardless of the audio mode you choose, the sound quality remains excellent, allowing you to enjoy all genres of music.

Now, let’s talk about battery life. The boAt Nirvana Ion sets a benchmark in this regard.

Here’s what you get in terms of battery life:

  • 19 hours of battery life on earbuds at 80% volume
  • 21 hours of battery life on earbuds at 70% volume
  • 100+ hours of battery life with the carrying case.

This level of battery life in a TWS is truly remarkable.

Moving to other aspects, the build quality is impressive, with the earbuds giving a premium feel. Considering the price, it boasts one of the best build qualities.

Despite housing four mics in total, call quality is good indoors and above average outdoors.

The 60 ms latency is good for gaming, but heavy gamers might notice minor latency issues.

A notable feature of this TWS is the in-ear detection capability. It automatically pauses music when you remove the earbuds from your ears and resumes it when you put them back in.

The boAt Nirvana Ion has many commendable features, but it’s not without its flaws.

To accommodate a larger battery, the company had to slightly increase the size of the earbuds. This added size may lead to discomfort, especially for those with smaller ears.

Extended listening sessions might result in some discomfort or pain in your ears.

Another concern is the lack of ANC. While this is acceptable, the company could have offered this feature.

Apart from these issues, there is little to worry about with the boAt Nirvana Ion.

Verdict: The boAt Nirvana Ion boasts some impressive features, particularly its remarkable battery and enjoyable sound quality. Despite having a few issues, it stands out as one of the best boAt TWS earbuds available.

Pros and Cons

The boAt Airdopes 170 was out of stock for months, and we had to remove it from this list.

But it is now available to buy, and we had to add it to this list again.

The thing that forced us to add this TWS to this list is the sound quality.

We love the sound quality of boAt Airdopes 170.

boAt earbuds are generally bass-heavy, but the Airdopes 170 is different. Its primary focus is audio clarity rather than throwing bass everywhere.

While listening to songs, you will notice the crispy treble and clear vocals. This clarity is something that you will appreciate.

The instrument separation is good, and the sounds playing in the background are clearly audible.

The bass is just decent. It’s not overpowered, like other earbuds, but it is still good and enjoyable.

If you are a heavy bass lover, then you should skip it, but if you want clarity with decent bass, then these are the best TWS earbuds under 1500.

Moving to other aspects, the build quality is impressive. The carrying case and the earbuds are sturdy, and the matt finish adds a premium touch.

Because the earbuds are stem-style, they fit perfectly in the earbuds without causing any fatigue.

The battery life is impressive, too. The earbuds can last 5 hours at 85% volume, 6 hours at 70% volume, and 7 hours at 50% volume.

Using the case, you will get anywhere between 23 to 30 hours of music playback.

The gaming performance is also great. As the earbuds have 50ms low latency, you can play most games without any delay in sound.

However, you should buy these for high-end gaming.

One area where the boAt Airdopes 170 disappoints is the call quality.

The indoor call quality is decent, but the outdoor call quality is poor.

If you want to know about this earbud in detail, we advise you to check our boAt Airdopes 170 review, where we have covered this TWS in detail.

Verdict: If you care about sound clarity over unnecessary heavy bass, then the boAt Airdopes 170 is an excellent option. For the price, it’s a great value.

Pros and Cons

  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • Clear and open sound stages
  • Clear vocals and punchy treble
  • Well balanced bass
  • Great battery life
  • IPX4 water and sweat resistance
  • IWP Technology
  • Good option for gaming
  • Excellent value for money
  • Poor call quality outdoors
  • Not for super heavy bass lovers

boAt Airdopes 141 ANC is the successor to the most popular boAt Airdopes 141.

With this upgraded version, boAt has made several notable improvements.

The primary difference here is the addition of Active Noise Cancellation. The boAt Airdopes 141 ANC boasts an ANC feature that can block noise up to 32dB.

It is a commendable feature, especially given its budget-friendly price point.

In real-world usage, the ANC performs admirably, significantly reducing external noise when activated.

While it may not match the premium TWS models in ANC performance, it’s important to remember that the boAt Airdopes 141 ANC is priced at just Rs 1700.

Overall, the ANC feature is a notable addition that works well, particularly considering the price.

Sound quality is a crucial aspect of any earbuds, and the Airdopes 141 ANC doesn’t disappoint in this department.

These earbuds offer two sound modes, Balanced mode and boAt Signature mode.

Balanced mode delivers a flat sound profile, accentuating trebles and vocals, making it ideal for watching movies.

In boAt Signature mode, the bass gets boosted, providing deep and punchy bass while maintaining clarity in trebles and vocals.

This mode is perfect for bass enthusiasts. However, it’s worth noting that the sound quality leans towards the bass end and lacks details.

Additionally, at maximum volume, the bass may distort slightly. Nevertheless, the earbuds get loud enough that you’re unlikely to put them on full volume.

Overall, the sound quality is enjoyable and suits different preferences.

Battery life is another strong point of these earbuds. With ANC active, they can last approximately 5 hours on a single charge, and without ANC, the battery life extends to around 6.5 hours.

When combined with the charging case, you’ll get a total of approximately 38 hours of music playback.

For those who frequently make calls with their earbuds, the boAt Airdopes 141 ANC offers decent call quality. Indoor calls benefit from quad microphones and ENx technology, providing clear and reliable communication.

However, the outdoor call quality deteriorates in very noisy environments.

Nevertheless, they serve well for voice calls.

Gamers will appreciate the low latency of only 50 ms, which makes these earbuds suitable for gaming. While it may not be the absolute best in terms of latency, it is decent for most gaming needs.

Comfort and design are essential for prolonged usage, and the stem-style design of these earbuds ensures a comfortable fit in the ears.

Additionally, the build and design are commendable, offering a premium look and feel.

Verdict: The boAt Airdopes 141 ANC may not be a perfect TWS, but considering its price, it packs numerous good features. The ANC works effectively, and the sound quality, especially in boAt Signature mode, is enjoyable for bass enthusiasts. While it has some limitations, it’s a worthy choice for those seeking a budget-friendly TWS with ANC.

Pros and Cons

  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • Good sound quality considering the price
  • Good bass with clear vocals
  • Decent trebles
  • The ANC works well
  • Great battery life in total
  • Good call quality indoors
  • IPX5 water and sweat resistance
  • Above average call quality outdoors
  • Bass distortion at full volume

boAt has added the boAt Airdopes 200 Plus to the lineup. The launch price is Rs 1600, but you can get it for around Rs 1300 during sales.

The very first thing you will notice about the Airdopes Fuel is its build quality.

It seems like boAt has forgotten to focus on the build quality because the plastic used to make the carrying case is cheap.

It’s not sturdy but feels slightly flimsy. The lid closes itself with a very little shake.

Fortunately, the earbuds are made of good plastic, ensuring a mid-premium feel.

Both the case and the earbuds have a matt finish. It means they won’t attract fingerprints.

Also, the earbuds have a strong magnetic hold and don’t fall that easily.

The stem style design assures that the earbuds fit perfectly in the ears and won’t cause fatigue. You can listen to music all day long, as the design is comfortable.

For the price of around 1600, the boAt Airdopes Fuel delivers good sound quality. However, if you get these Airdopes for Rs 1300, then it becomes a great deal.

As earbuds support AAC codec, you can enjoy the finest details in songs. The vocals are clear and don’t feel artificial. They feel true to life.

The trebles are crispy and soothing. They don’t get too sharp to hurt ears but remain pleasant.

As expected from boAt earbuds, you get deep and thumping bass here, too, but note that the bass is not overpowered. The amount of bass is at the point where it should be.

Yes, if you are a super heavy bass lover, you might not like Airdopes 200 Plus, but if you want a well-balanced sound with solid bass, these are some of the best under 1300.

The earbuds get too loud, so we advise keeping the max volume at 80% to save the battery and your ears.

Overall, you won’t have any complaints regarding the sound quality at the price of around 1300.

The call quality is good indoors. The quad mic with ENx tech works for real and makes a difference.

Unfortunately, the outdoor call quality is average at best. The person on the other end can clearly hear the surround noise.

For gaming, the earbuds have Beast Mode with 50ms low latency. The claim is mostly true, and you will have a good gaming experience. Still, we don’t suggest these for extremely heavy gaming.

Features like IPX5 rating, IWP, Quick Switch, and touch controls all work well.

The battery life is the main highlight of these earbuds. The earbuds can last up to 5.5 hours on a single charge at 75% volume.

With the case, you will get around 100 hours of battery life at 60% volume. However, if you keep the volume at 80%, then you will get around 60 hours of battery life, which is again excellent.

Verdict: Most things in the boAt Airdopes 200 Plus are good. It’s safe to say that these are all-rounder earbuds. However, buy it only if it’s available for around Rs 1300.

Pros and Cons

  • Lightweight and comfortable design
  • Good sound quality for the price
  • Good bass and clear vocals
  • Excellent battery life with the case
  • Good battery life on earbuds
  • IPX5 water and sweat resistance
  • IWP Technology
  • Overall, value-for-money TWS
  • The outdoor call quality could have been improved

The design is attractive, thanks to the modern look and attractive hue.

No matter what type of music genre you prefer, you will enjoy them all on the boAt 121 V2 Plus.

Overall, the sound might not blow your mind, but it’s surely good and won’t disappoint you.

BoAt has introduced a new TWS model, the BoAt Airdopes 91, to their lineup.

What sets this TWS apart is its price-to-performance ratio.

The Airdopes 91 has been launched at around Rs 1200, but you can get it for under Rs 1000, making it an attractive option.

When you examine the specifications, you’ll notice that the Airdopes 91 is quite similar to other Airdopes in the same price range.

However, the 13mm driver and Bluetooth 5.3 are new additions to the Airdopes 91.

Do these additions justify purchasing the Airdopes 91?

Certainly, especially if you get them for under Rs 1000. In that case, these earbuds are definitely worth considering.

The sound quality provided by the 13mm driver is decent, if you ask us. It’s not exceptional, but it’s satisfactory, considering the price.

The bass is adequate, and the vocals and trebles are generally clear and crisp. However, if you prefer deep and heavy bass, these earbuds might not satisfy your preference.

Please note that we can’t expect premium sound quality for Rs 1000, but it should be satisfactory, and the BoAt Airdopes 91 delivers on that expectation.

The design is similar to other Airdopes but with a slightly textured design on the stem of the earbuds. The case also features a slightly unique design.

The build quality is good, slightly better than most earbuds in this price range.

Using the earbuds for extended periods is comfortable, as you’ll get around 5 hours of music playback on the earbuds alone, and with the charging case, you can achieve 40 hours of playback.

You also get 50ms latency, which is decent at this price point. However, if you’re a serious gamer, you may notice slight latency during gaming sessions.

Call quality is average. It’s suitable for indoor calls but not as great for outdoor use.

Verdict: The boAt Airdopes 91 may not boast groundbreaking specifications, but that’s expected in budget earbuds. Still, for the price, the BoAt Airdopes 91 offers very good specs and performance.

Pros and Cons

  • Small and comfortable design
  • Lightweight
  • Good sound quality for the price
  • Decent bass and clear vocals
  • Good battery life
  • IPX5 water and sweat resistance
  • IWP Technology

All the earbuds listed here are for general users. While all these earbuds can play games just fine, none is dedicated to gaming.

Here comes the boAt Immortal 141, a popular boAt Airdopes dedicated to gaming.

The original Immortal 121 was a great TWS, but the upgraded Immortal 141 is even better.

When you take the earbuds out of the box, the design will grab your attention.

The earbuds have a gaming-centric design with sharp edges that look great. The carrying case also has a similar-looking design.

What makes these earbuds gaming-centric are the RGB lights. We know everyone won’t like these, but gamers will appreciate the RGB lights for sure.

Both earbuds and the carrying case have RGB lights, which look good, especially in the dark.

Some might find these RGB lights childish, but gamers will appreciate them.

Gaming earbuds often compromise sound quality but boAt Immortal 141 delivers very good sound quality.

Thanks to the 10mm driver, the Immortal 141 delivers solid bass with enough depth. You can feel the punch of the bass whenever you listen to bass songs.

The bass quality is good, but the same can’t be said about the trebles and vocals, as both lack clarity and sharpness.

The bass and vocals are good but aren’t as good as they should be.

The sound quality is good, but the company could have refined the vocals and trebles.

The primary reason for buying such TWS is gaming, and the Immortal 141 won’t disappoint you in this department.

Thanks to 40ms latency, the delay in sound while gaming is as minimal as possible, making these earbuds ideal for heavy gaming.

You can play all types of games on these earbuds without any problem.

The call quality is what you can expect at this price. It’s good indoors and average outdoors.

The battery life is pretty good, as the earbuds can easily last 6 hours with RGB turned OFF and 4 hours with RGB ON.

While the carrying case is claimed to provide 40 hours of music playback, you will get around 30 hours of music playback in real life.

Verdict: The boAt Immortal 141 is one of the best boAt Airdopes for gaming. The earbuds offer good sound quality and an immersive gaming experience.

Pros and Cons

  • Attractive design with RGB lights
  • Lightweight
  • Good sound quality for the price
  • Good bass
  • Excellent option for gaming
  • Great battery life
  • IPX4 water and sweat resistance
  • IWP Technology
  • The outdoor call quality is average
  • Vocals and treble are somewhat compromised

Well, all the mentioned Airdopes are the best in their price segment. You can buy any of these depending on your budget and needs.

Still, if we had to recommend the best, it would be the boAt Nirvana Ion. The exceptional battery life and impressive sound quality make it a worthwhile option.

Lastly, if you are a gamer, then you can consider the boAt Immortal 141. It’s a great option for gaming.

Some say Boat 441 has better bass than 170 whereas search shows 170 is for bass lovers. (13mm drivers)
    ???????????????????????????????????

    1. We agree that the Boat 170 has good bass, but it may not be the best choice for super heavy bass enthusiasts like yourself. If you can tweak the bass a little, then it’s certainly a great choice.
The Boat 441 also offers excellent bass, but it’s now considered older. So, yes, you can go for the Boat 170.
However, for an additional Rs 200, you can consider the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r. It boasts excellent bass and comes with other impressive features.

  2. I am confused, which tws is best for call improvement? Oppo enco buds 2 or newly launched boat airdopes 141 ANC or any other best which is better than above which you can suggest me… Please..

    1. For clear and detailed sound, the Oppo Enco Buds 2 stands out as an excellent choice. However, it’s worth noting that it lacks ANC, a requirement you mentioned.
In this regard, the boAt 141 ANC is the obvious choice for ANC.
When it comes to call quality, both TWS perform admirably. Both deliver very good indoor call quality, and their outdoor call quality is decent.
Yet, the boat 141 ANC gains a slight advantage due to its ANC feature, which allows you to hear the other person clearly even in noisy environments. Therefore, we recommend the boat 141 ANC for your calling needs.
However, it’s important to remember that no TWS earbuds can match the call quality of wired earphones.

  3. Hi which tws is very good for call quality among all the tws with stem type, also good signature sound with all the necessary features, like ANC, volume control, Equalizer mode, IWP, and in ear detection. Please advice the good tws as all rounder. Call quality is my first preference.

  4. I would like to buy 141 pro it’s not available on the official app when will it be coming and also is it the best under 1500 or would recommend any other

    1. The Airdopes 141 Pro is a decent TWS. However, it’s important to note that it doesn’t come with silicon tips, which might result in a slightly looser fit. Additionally, if you’re looking for deep bass, you won’t find it with these earbuds. If you’re aware of these limitations and still want to make the purchase, then you can certainly go ahead. They might become available in stock within a month.
Alternatively, you can consider the Realme Techlife T100 as an alternative option. If you’re committed to the boAt brand, you can check the boAt Airdopes 170.

    1. Yes, the boAt Nirvana Ion is a good pair of TWS earbuds. It delivers great sound quality and boasts an impressive battery life. However, some users with smaller ears might find the earbud size a bit uncomfortable.

    1. Both Boat 121v2 and 381 are made for different audiences.
If you prefer clear sound quality with less bass, then 121v2 is a better option. But if you prefer bass over vocals and treble, then 381 is a good option.
As of now, the Boat 381 is priced close to Rs 2000, and at that price, you also have the 441. The bass and sound quality are more enjoyable on 441.

  5. Which Boat airdopes are best overall, price doesn’t matter but overall it should have all the necessary features?

      1. which of them (boAt Airdopes 161, 141, and 280 Pro) justify the below-mentioned features

        – Having good call quality
        – Haveing a heavy bass?
        – Having ANC?
        – Comfortable if using it for multiple hours continuously

        1. You can’t expect crystal clear call quality in any of the TWS, but all the very good indoors and average outdoors.
Airdrops 161 offers slightly heavy bass compared to others.
None of these TWS comes with ANC.
Comfort is no problem in any of these TWS as all come with stem-style design.

  6. Hi, Which airdopes have heavy bass? Boat airdopes 601 ANC or Boat Airdopes 141? And also which one is better overall?

    1. The sound quality of Airdopes 601 ANC is good, but it doesn’t justify the price tag of Rs 4500.
Boat Airdopes 141 offers more value as it’s priced under Rs 1200.
Bass quality is slightly better on the 601 ANC, but for that price, we advise you to go with the OnePlus Buds Z2.

  7. Hello, I have some queries.
    1. What’s the difference in Bluetooth 5 and 5.2?
    2. I’m confused regarding 441 pro and 621. Apart from digital case, what’s the real difference?
    3. For small ears which is the best airdope?
    4. Not fan of high bass. Which airdopes can be recommended?
So altogether, answering these questions, which is the best I can go for?

    1. With Bluetooth 5.2, larger amounts of information can be transmitted at lower power. It means BT 5.2 offers a more stable connection with least audio loss.
The difference between 441 Pro and 621 is minor as 441 is slightly on bass side and 621 isn’t.
For smaller ears, you can go for the Airdopes 141 as it’s a stem style TWS.

    1. Because of the silicon ear tips, these TWS block outer noise to some level, which is known as passive noise cancelation. But there is no dedicated active noise cancellation on these.

  8. Recently bought boat 441, can wear even more than 2 mins. Getting pain, very uncomfortable to my ear. Please suggest me a comfortable boat buds without giving me pain. Or should I go like airpod designs like 141.

  9. Boat airpodes 381 and bassheads 100
    And
    Airpodes 121v2 and bassheads 100
I want to know the difference between these thing’s “bass” because I don’t like bass!

    1. Airdopes are basically truly wireless earphones from boAt. So Airdopes 381 and 121V2 are TWS that deliver a good sound experience. Whereas the bassheads 100 is a wired earphone that is mainly focused on delivering good sound with heavy bass.
If you don’t prefer heavy bass, then you can buy the boAt Airdopes 281 Pro.

    1. Both the Airdopes are the same except for the battery life of the carrying case. The battery life on the earbuds itself is the same. So, If you really don’t need that extra battery life, go with the 441.

  10. What is standby time and should it really matter to us while buying? Also, how is 452 compared to 441 which has an asap charge and price is also less by 500 rs. except the total playback time reduced a bit?

    1. We still recommend you the boAt Airdopes 441 over the 381 because it’s more comfortable and offers features that are useful in daily life.
The sound quality on boAt Airdopes 452 isn’t that good, but it’s good for gaming purposes. Don’t worry much about the stand-by time. For Rs 1300, the boAt Airdopes 452 is a decent deal, but by adding Rs 400, you can get 441 which is better than the other two.
Note that the call quality is good, but not as good as the wired earphones. If you are used to crystal clear call quality, then you might feel a little disappointed in the beginning. Although, it’s fine for WFH.

  11. boAt Airdopes 381 seems almost the same as 441 which is recommended here, and the price is less by around 400rs, except the 1 hr extra charge on buds and the IPX rating. Any suggestions which can be preferred? Also, call quality indoors mentioned is good for both, so all office calls during WFH will be clear if used?

    1. Yes, the bass is good on Airdopes 621, but if you are a very heavy bass lover, then you might get a little disappointed. In such a case, you might need to customize the settings using an EQ.

  12. I want to buy boat 402 but on site it shows 30hrs music time and Bluetooth version 5.2 but in manual it’s shown 16hrs music time and Bluetooth version 5.0? Why it’s so?

    1. The information given on the official website is incorrect. boAt Airdopes comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and 16 hours of music playback. They might have shared the wrong info unintentionally.

  13. I want to buy boat airdropes. I am going for boat airdopes 281pro so can you suggest me best of segment for battery , ipx5 , good bass and also tell me which color should I purchase in airdopes 281 pro active black or aqua blue.

    1. boAt Airdopes 281Pro is a good earbud with balanced sound quality. Note that the bass is good but not too heavy. If you are an average user, then you will be happy with the bass. Overall sound signature is satisfactory.
The earbuds can last for 5-6 hours on a single charge depending on the volume.
The color options are completely up to you. If you ask our personal opinion, then the Black color looks more classy with the matt finish.
