First thing first, the OnePlus Buds 3 are priced at Rs 5500, which is Rs 500 more than the items listed here.

However, we highly suggest adding Rs 500 to your budget and opting for the OnePlus Buds 3.

But why? What’s so special about these earbuds?

Upon unboxing, you’ll immediately appreciate the premium build quality and design of the earbuds.

They feel premium with solid construction, though they are slightly slippery, requiring careful handling.

The attractive design ensures a snug fit in the ears, which means you can use these earbuds for hours without any problem.

Beyond design and build, the sound quality is impressive. The OnePlus Buds 3 offers excellent audio performance in this price range.

The bass is deep and rich without being overwhelming. The vocals are crystal clear, and the trebles are sharp and crisp.

Activating the LHDC mode enhances sound quality further, providing excellent clarity and richness.

You’ll be delighted by the immersive audio experience offered by the OnePlus Buds 3.

Regarding ANC performance, it’s commendable considering the price point. Although not as robust as the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro’s 50 dB ANC, it still effectively blocks 85 to 95% of ambient noise in ANC mode, allowing you to enjoy music with clarity.

Battery life is decent but could be improved. With ANC on at 70% volume, the earbuds last for 5 hours, while without ANC, they last for 6.5 hours.

The call quality is excellent, thanks to the three microphones on each earbud, ensuring clear communication in any environment.

These earbuds are packed with features. The most useful are dual pairing and volume control.

However, they may not be optimal for gaming due to a 94ms latency, although they suffice for casual gaming.

Verdict: The OnePlus Buds 3 stands out as one of the top TWS options around Rs 5000. For an immersive audio experience, look no further than the OnePlus Buds 3.

The Realme Buds Air 5 Pro is the most feature-packed TWS earbuds under 5000.

On paper, the Buds Air 5 Pro offers everything you could imagine at this price point.

Now, you might wonder if this TWS is actually that good.

Well, yes, the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro is actually good, for the most part. From sound quality to features, it checks all the boxes that make it worth buying TWS.

The design and build feel premium, and there is nothing much to complain about.

However, the glossy finish attracts smudges, and using a matte finish would have been great.

The earbuds fit perfectly in the ears, and using them for longer sessions doesn’t cause ear fatigue.

Now, let’s talk about the most important thing, the sound quality.

Realme has included two drivers. One is a standard 11mm bass driver, and the other is a 6mm Tweeter for enhanced vocals and trebles.

The sound quality is impressive. The blend of heavy bass, crisp trebles, and clear vocals make the overall audio quality more enjoyable.

Realme earbuds primarily focus on the bass, but the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro has followed a different approach.

Yes, it delivers heavy bass, but that doesn’t mean it compromises on other frequencies.

Along with heavy and deep bass, you get clear vocals and crisp trebles. The dedicated tweeter makes a difference in delivering clear mids and highs.

Please note that the sound quality is not as crisp as the Oppo Encho Air 3 Pro, but it is very close, which is commendable.

So overall, the bass performance and sound quality are some of the best on earbuds under 5000.

What’s also best is the ANC, which blocks most of the noise. It’s safe to say that the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro has one of the best ANC under 5000.

Other modes, like transparency mode, are also equally good.

The 360° Spatial Audio makes the sound livelier. However, the bass quality takes a hit in this mode. Still, it’s an enjoyable feature that some may like and some may not.

The battery life is good on the earbuds and excellent with the case.

With ANC, you will get 4.5 to 5 hours of battery life on the earbuds. Without ANC, you can achieve 6+ hours of battery life.

With the case, you will get 30+ hours of battery life. That means if you use these earbuds intensively, you don’t have to worry about charging for 3 days.

Gaming is another area where these earbuds perform admirably. The latency is minimal, and you get a very satisfying gaming experience.

Main Highlights

⦿ Bluetooth V5.3 with 10 meter range
⦿ 12.4mm Driver
⦿ 49dB ANC, LDAC and AAC Codec, Alive Audio

⦿ 43mAh battery on Earbuds, 440mAh on the case
⦿ IP55 Rating, Fast charging, 47ms Low Latency, Touch controls

As far as sound is concerned, the Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro delivers the best sound quality under 5000. It’s even better than the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro.

What makes the Oppo Air 3 Pro stand out is the sound clarity. The details you get while listening to music are unmatched.

The vocals are crystal clear, and the trebles are super crisp. This level of clarity brings all the hidden details to the front, and you can hear them all. Also, the sound separation is excellent.

What about bass?

Well, the bass is rich and deep, but it’s not as pronounced as the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro, which goes super deep.

You won’t have any problem with the bass performance, but if you are a super heavy bass lover and care about only the bass, then the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro is a better choice.

Overall, the sound quality is impressive and surely the best on any TWS under 5000.

While there is no Spatial audio effect, the Alive Audio works similarly and offers nearly the same audio experience.

Now, you might wonder, if the sound quality is so good, then why is this TWS in second place?

Well, aside from sound quality, there are a lot of other things that matter while buying a TWS, especially at this price.

ANC is one of those things, and somehow, Encho Air 3 Pro doesn’t deliver the expected ANC performance.

On paper, 49dB ANC seems impressive, but in real life, the ANC performance is just decent.

It blocks 80% of the noise, and you can still hear some sounds easily. Compared to the ANC on Realme Buds Air 5 Pro, the one you get on Oppo is just good.

Another area where these earbuds lack is the battery life. The Encho Air 2 Pro has good battery life, but the Air 3 Pro has average battery life.

With ANC, you will only get 3 hours of battery life at 85% volume, which is average. Without ANC, you can get 4 hours of battery life, which is still behind the competition.

With the case, you will get 22+ hours of battery life, which is very good.

Other than the average ANC and battery, most things are good.

The call quality is good, and the person on the other end can hear you clearly.

The gaming experience is also good, as you won’t notice much latency.

If you want to know more about these earbuds, we recommend checking out Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro review.

Now, the price has been reduced, and you can get it for Rs 4000, or even Rs 3500, using bank offers.

Now you might wonder, Is it worth buying an old TWS?

In short, yes, you can still buy the OnePlus Buds Z2, even today. It has good sound and all those features that make this TWS a worthwhile option.

Starting with the design, the OnePlus Buds Z2 has an ergonomic design that fits well in the ears and doesn’t cause ear fatigue.

You can use these earbuds for hours without any problem.

The build quality is good but not impressive. The TWS feels good to hold but slightly lacks the premium feel given by the competitors.

Talking about the sound quality, the Buds Z2 emphasized the bass, making it an ideal option for bass lovers.

Even with the heavy bass, the vocals and treble don’t get muffled or don’t seem to be compressed by the bass.

The vocals and trebles are clear, and you can listen to every detail in the music.

However, the clarity is not as good as the Oppo Air 3 Pro. Still, it’s good for the price.

Please note that the bass slightly lacks that punch, but it has depth, and the overall sound comes out to be very enjoyable.

What’s also better is Dolby Atmos support, which enhances the audio quality to a great extent if your phone also has the support for the same.

Overall, the sound quality is great, especially at the current price.

The ANC performance is good, but not as good as the newly launched Realme Buds Air 5 Pro.

You can still hear some sounds when turning ON the ANC on the OnePlus Buds Z2. Still, the overall ANC performance is good.

The battery life is fairly good. With ANC, you will get 4.5 hours of battery, and without ANC, you will get 5+ hours of battery.

With the case, you will get 21 to 30 hours of battery, depending on the volume and ANC.

The calling experience has been good. The indoor call quality is great, but the outdoor quality is just decent.

The Buds Z2 isn’t for heavy gaming. The 94ms latency is good for casual gaming, but it’s not for high-end gaming.

JBL is a well-known brand in the audio industry, and their products are usually expensive.

However, they have entered the budget market by launching several earbud models, including the JBL Tune Buds.

Although some modern features are missing, the earbuds come with enough features to satisfy most users.

The JBL Tune Buds have a small regular-size design, which is slightly larger than usual. However, wearing them for an extended period might cause discomfort to some users, as they can cause earache.

The design would have been better if JBL opted for a stem-style design.

The sound quality is good, with a balanced sound and a slight boost in bass. The JBL signature sound is on the warmer side, and the Tune Buds deliver a similar experience.

The bass isn’t overwhelming, but it is good enough for most users. The vocals are clear, and the trebles are crisp. Although the sound quality isn’t perfect, it should satisfy most users.

The ANC performance is decent, although the company hasn’t revealed the ANC number. It appears to be around 30 to 35 dB ANC, based on performance.

The battery life is decent, too, with 5 hours of music playback with ANC on and 7 hours without ANC at 75% volume.

The JBL Tune Buds lack some features like gaming mode, but they offer the most useful feature, dual pairing, which works flawlessly.

The call quality is just decent, with significant surround noise on the other end, especially in noisy environments.

Verdict: If you prefer JBL over other brands, JBL Tune Buds are an excellent option. Although they lack some modern features, they deliver a decent audio experience for most users.

Pros and Cons

  • Decent build quality
  • Good sound quality
  • Crisp vocals and trebles

  1. I think since ANC is measured in decibels which is based on the logarithmic scale, 50dB of ANC is much more better than 49dB even though there is just an increase of 1dB.
