Box Content

The box contents are pretty standard. In the box, you will get:

  • Nothosaur Gaming Mouse
  • User Manual

The box we received was slightly damaged from one side, but the mouse was in absolutely good condition.

Build Quality

Redragon M606 Build Quality

The moment you hold the mouse in your hand, you will realize that the entire mouse is made of plastic.

The top of the mouse has a smooth matt finish, which feels slightly fragile at once.

Upon taking a closer look, you will realize that it’s thick plastic and isn’t going to break easily.

The plastic used on the sides has a glossy finish. This plastic feels solid when you hold the mouse.

The backlit scroll wheel is rubberized with an arrow design. This design enhances the scrolling experience.

Coming to the cable, it’s a braided USB cable with a red and black color combination. Also, the USB port is gold-plated.

The mouse has a heft of 260 g, which gives it a slightly premium touch. You will not feel that you are holding a cheap quality mouse.

So the overall build quality is really satisfactory, considering the price.

Design & Comfort

Redragon M606 Design

The biggest selling point of this mouse is the design. It is a nicely designed mouse that fits perfectly in the hand.

When you put your hand on the mouse, all the fingers sit perfectly because every finger has a separate space.

Space for the little finger and thumb has a honeycomb texture.

Using the scroll wheel requires a tiny amount of finger movement because the wheel is smooth to rotate.

It’s the right design for both big and small hands. So you don’t need to be worried if you either have small or big hands.

The overall comfort and design have been great on the Redragon M606.

Usability & Gaming Experience

Because of the ergonomic design, using the Redragon has been a great experience.

The buttons feel tactile and give very satisfactory feedback.

Note that there are six buttons, and the scroll wheel also has a button. You need to press the scroll wheel a little hard to register the keypress.

The six buttons are:

  • Left-click
  • Right-click
  • Top button to change DPI
  • The scroll wheel also has a button
  • Two thumb buttons

If you have never used a gaming mouse, then getting used to the extra three buttons may take some time.

You can use the thumb buttons to go backward or forward in a browser. While pressing the wheel and in a browser starts to scroll automatically.

For normal use, you won’t have any problem with this mouse.

Coming to gaming, it’s one of the best gaming mice at this price.

The customizable DPI really helps in adjusting the sensitivity in gaming.

The polling rate is 500Hz, which is pretty standard at this price.

In our polling rate test, we managed to get 492Hz. A 1000Hz polling is considered best for gaming, but you need to pay extra for that.

So the overall usage and gaming experience has been satisfactory with this mouse.

You can play the majority of games just fine using this mouse.

RGB Lights

Redragon M606 RGB lights

The RGB lights look really great on this mouse.

It’s not overdone but done just right.

The LED strip from the front to the back looks really nice. Even the glowing dragon logo also looks eye-pleasing, especially in the dark.

The scroll wheel is backlit, which enhances the overall experience.

But there are some issues with these RGB lights.

  • The LED colors are preset with the DPI. You can’t change the color of lights on one DPI. For example, the RED color has a default 1000 DPI. If you change it, the color automatically gets changed to another.
  • There is no breathing effect. Also, the LEDs light up in a single color at one time.
  • There is no software to customize these LED lights and buttons.

These aren’t major issues, except for the first and last one, but worth mentioning.

Except for these, the overall RGB lights look really nice in person.

If you want to turn off the LED and keep using the mouse, then press and hold the DPI button for 5 seconds. It will turn off the RGB lights.

Pros and Cons of Redragon Nothosaur M606

All the gaming mice in this segment have pros and cons. The Redragon is no different.

  • Good build quality
  • Comfortable design
  • Good grip
  • Satisfactory clicks
  • Customizable DPI
  • Ergonomic thumb buttons for different use
  • Braided cable
  • Colors are preset with DPI
  • No software to customize the RGB lights

What is the polling rate of Redragon M606?

The company claims a polling rate of 500Hz, and we found it mostly accurate.

In our polling rate test, we managed to get a 492 Hz polling rate, which is close to what the company has claimed.

But you should know that a 500 Hz polling rate is below average for gaming.

To get a better gaming experience, your mouse should have at least a 1000 Hz polling rate. But note that such mice cost more.

These are the best monitors under 15000 in India.

Redragon M606 Review: Final Verdict

So, should you buy the Redragon M606?

This mouse has some issues with the LEDs that we have mentioned above.

Still, this mouse impressed us with its comfy design and usage. We did not face any issue with it.

Based on our experience, we can say that it’s easily one of the best mice, around Rs 800. You can definitely buy Redragon M606 without any worry.
